Ibrahim Muhammad Bello is a medical student and advocate for sexual and reproductive health and rights in Nigeria. In 2022, he served as the National Director of the Standing Committee on Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Including HIV/AIDS (SCORA) for the Nigerian Medical Students’ Association (NiMSA).
One of his notable achievements was the establishment of the Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights Champions Network of Nigeria, a training program for medical students in collaboration with the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (RCOG). Additionally, Ibrahim partnered with organizations like Dkt International Nigeria, Maris Stopes Clinics, IPAS Nigeria and NiMSA National Programs Coordinator’s team to distribute over 50,000 OraQuick HIV Self Screening test kits and contraceptives across Nigeria. Ibrahim is a 2016 Winner of the ICT Whizkids Competition, a 2023 Alumni of the Aspire Leaders Program, a 2023 LEAP Africa YLDP Alumni and project Health for All Team Lead, a 2023 Mentee for the MCW Global Youth Fellowship in New York and a recipient of the 2023 MCW Roberta Richin Memorial Vision Plan Award at NYU School of Professional Studies.
