Usman Abba Zanna is a Journalist/Multimedia Editor and the founder of FINEAid, a nonprofit organisation that supports adult learning in the Northeast. He participates in community engagement to promote political, social, and economic change and development through multimedia content production that stirs conversation around things and issues that matter.
Since last year, through a podcast series, Usman has promoted freedom of expression, women’s political participation, and human rights in Nigeria.
He is a fellow of HumAngle, Gidan Yanci, Equal Access International, National Geographic, African Science Literacy Network (ASLN), ASLY, amongst others.
Usman was recognised as Northeast Hero in 2018, awarded by Yerwa Express News in its 2018 Northeast Heroes Award.
